OBEY Clothing was founded on the art, design and ideals of Shepard Fairey. What started for Fairey with and absurd sticker he created in 1989 while studying at the Rhode Island School of Design has since evolved into a worldwide street art campaign, as well as an accliamed body of fine art.

Obey is a clothing label founded on principles based around art and design of Shepard Fairley. It all started from a sticker designed by Shepard in the late 80s when a student as Rhode Island School of Design, but at the 90s claimed its grip of streetwear, Obey became far more than a few skate-style stickers.

Obey is a global street art movement with impact on the globe’s every corner. Deeply set within the concept of ‘do it yourself’, Obey embraces the punk rock spirit of counterculture, with a skate visual. Fairey’s ideas – and therefore the essence of the Obey brand – are firmly set in the idea of self-empowerment. Hugely successful in the political art world, Obey clothing debuted in 2001 as an extension of the brand’s artwork that focuses on the subversion of propagandist messages designed to brainwash us into monotony. Spreading art to the people, Obey focuses on military-inspired design, workwear, and skate. Designed by Mike Ternosky and Erin Wignall, our range of Obey clothing encompasses Sherpard’s philosophies and politics. We are proud to stock the globally-known brand and its collection of short sleeve T-shirts, long sleeve T-shirts, jackets, and singlets.
