Womenswear this season puts a big focus on fabrications – mainly linen and denim – street style, swim, one piece styles like playsuits and dresses allowing imaginative styling, naturals palettes, basics and swim. As we pull away from winter, our attention moves to lightweight fabrications and relaxed cuts, and colours that appease the Australian environment – think marigolds, ochres and greens.
With a focus on lightweight fabrications in easy-to-wear, relaxed cuts, women’s clothing this season features natural colour palettes across tops, tees, pants, dresses, and skirts. Our women’s collections call out a few important trends this season: linen, denim, swimwear, one piece styling, natural colours, and streetwear.
Linen is a natural, breezy fabric that works equally well across both classic and contemporary outfitting, allowing its lightweight fabrication to provide comfort across all shapes.
Denim is a timeless finish that stays relevant decade after decade. This season, our summer-ready shorts and skirts are in comfortable, loose-fitting style with relaxed cuts and worn in washes. We’ve even thrown in some washes away from the usual black and blues, including green, red, and white.
Swim is key to your best Australian summer. We are backing a mix of block colours, broad printed stripes, mini floral prints, and 80s, sport-inspired shapes, many in shirred and ribbed fabrications, offering plenty of texture.
Denim and linen, and natural colour palettes, are central to our one dresses and playsuits. One piece dressing is spoiled with variety in its finishes, utilising a range of prints and textures, from Alice in the Eve, Don’t Ask Amanda, Rolla’s, Rue Stiic, and MLM Label.
Our natural colour palettes lean on the Australian environment for inspiration this season, coming up with yellows, green and a range of reds. These nature-inspired colours are muted and subtle in finish, and are applied across Subtitled, and Alice in the Eve.
Streetwear is the women’s clothing trend that shows little sign of stopping its journey forward into mainstream fashion and beyond, using familiar logos and retro silhouettes to stay loved. Across Russell Athletic, Adidas, Stand, Stussy, Tommy and Fila, out selection womenswear nails street style.
