Levi’s are proud members of the Better Cotton Initiative, which promotes the use of cotton farmed to higher environmental, social and economic standards. Eavery year, Levi's works to increase the percentage of Better Cotton use in their denim.

Through the Better Cotton Initiative, Levi’s cotton suppliers used an average of 11% less water, 12% less pesticide and 16% less synthetic fertilizer than their peers in 2016. Overall, the initiative saw more than 1.4 million farmers benefit from higher-than-average profits and cotton yields.

Meet Jen Sey. Levi's Chief Marketing Officer

Levi's Chief Marketing Officer talks their quintessential fit.

What are the core values of your brand?

Jen: Authenticity, originality, innovation and denim leadership, timeless style, optimism, self expression.

Who buys Levi's?

Jen: Everyone wears Levi’s! Anyone who is looking for authenticity in how they dress, who seeks to express himself or herself and be themselves, looks to Levi’s. It’s one of the few items of clothing that lets the wearer shine through. In Levi’s, it’s about you, not the item, not the label.

If you could sum up your brand in one pair of jeans, which pair would it be?

Jen: The Original 501, of course. More people have worn 501s and made them their own than any other item of clothing in the world. Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Bruce Springsteen, Kurt Cobain, Snoop Dogg. This jean spans the decades and the generations. It was started by us in 1873 but is finished by those that rock them with style very single day.
