DESIGN DIRECTOR'S CUT: PIP'S STRIPE EDIT

Wednesday, 17th August 2016

Stripes are one of the easiest go-to prints in fashion.

This year we saw stripes everywhere on the 2016 spring runway shows. All colours, all directions, all sizes and best of all, clashing scaled stripes – horizontal, vertical, thick, thin, multi, asymmetric, bold and tonal.

You name it; it had a stripe on it. Gone are the days where the stripe was just a nod to that nautical summer vibe. They are here to stay and they are for everyone, everywhere, everyday.

What’s awesome about the current kit in store at General Pants is it’s all about pastel and tonal stripes or the primary coloured stripe.

Baby blue and white stripes is the hot tip for the summer. Super fresh, super summer and super easy to wear – cue the Rolla's Sailor Flare Jumpsuit.

Another winning favourite is the chevron stripe skirt. This new direction is a great way to update the stripes that may already exist in your wardrobe.
